Assignment #6- Ten Rules of Composition

IMPACT
Does your image grab the viewer's attention?


CROPPING
Cutting out unwanted visual information.

 After....

BIGGEST, BOLDEST, BRIGHTEST, MOST FAVORABLY PLACED
Giving your subject favorable placement allows the viewer's eye to rest where intended. 


KISS
Keep It Simple Stupid (more effective than clutter)



RULE OF THIRDS
Break your image into 3rds both vertically and horizontally.


LEADING LINES
Use of lines, both visual and implied, to lead your viewer where you want them to go. 


BALANCE
Balance subject matter to make it seem in proportion


USE OF FRAMING
The use of objects as well as placement to frame your photo.



AVOID MERGERS
Don't have things growing out of people's heads!!!!



ROOM FOR LOGICAL MOVEMENT
Allow room for your subject to move within the frame.
